Lifestyle assignments aren’t going to win me any Pulitzers, but I really love it when a venue is well-lit. Cartier-Bresson said flash is rude, and lately I’ve taken every opportunity to save the batteries on my strobes – even when I’m shooting the low-light nightlife of some fancy pants La Jollans.
