The La Jolla Half Marathon was held on April 26, 2009. The 13.1-mile course began at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, passed through scenic Del Mar, Torrey Pines State Reserve, and La Jolla Shores beach before finishing at La Jolla Cove. Course record-holder Nazario Romero was the top finisher.
